3RD ANNUAL CHARITY HOCKEY GAME - AREA DOCTORS, MEDICS AND NHL CELEBRITIES TAKE TO THE ICE

The Michigan Cardio Vascular Institute, along with sponsors Mobile Medical Response, Saginaw Spirit, Covenant Healthcare, St. Mary's, Biotronik, Zoll, Mid Michigan Medical Center, WNEM TV 5 and the Healthy Hope Foundation - hosted the 3rd annual Shocks & Saves Charity Hockey Game at the Dow Event Center in downtown Saginaw. 

Area doctors, medics and NHL celebrities took to the ice to beat heart disease raising nearly $40,000 in ticket sales, donations and auction totals to benefit this great initiative bringing greater awareness to this overwhelming disease.

Detroit Red Wings alum Jiri Fischer, along with local survivors of all ages, celebrated and recognized their personal victories on the ice during the Saginaw Spirit game, further reminding us all of the importance of AEDs to prevent heart failure.
