The MainStreet Messenger becomes the main telephone in a user's home and can be used for regular incoming and outgoing calls. The MainStreet Messenger alarm activates when the user pushes a button that is connected to a wristband or pendant alarm. When the alarm is activated the phone becomes a speaker phone and can be heard from all areas within the home. MMR personnel will come to the home to set up the alarm system, program all the responder numbers and train the user, family members or neighbors on how to use the system. The slim, lightweight handset is fully hearing aid compatible. The illuminated keypad comes with oversized keys for quick recognition.
