10th Annual Shocks and Saves Charity Hockey Game
10 Years of Hockey…10 Years Lifesaving…10 Years of Shocks and Saves! The annual charity hockey game and auction took place on Saturday, February 4th at TheDow Event Center in Saginaw. This 10 year collaboration between MMR, The Pulse3 Foundation, the Saginaw Spirit and Jiri Fischer and Detroit Red Wings alumni has raised nearly $500,000 and placed over 170 AEDs in the Great Lakes Bay region. Most importantly, AEDs placed from our initiative have saved 10 lives! Bystander CPR is essential in increasing survival from sudden cardiac arrest. Through our fundraising, awareness and education programs MMR and the Pulse3 Foundation are making a significant impact in our communities. Statistics are showing improvement in survivability rates for cardiac arrest victims. AED sales are on the rise and CPR training classes are in high demand. Thanks to all who worked so hard to bring yet another amazing event to our community.
