Career Opportunity with MMR: 7-Week EMT Training Program
Mobile Medical Response will be hosting two accelerated EMT Academy programs through Great Lakes Bay Consortium for EMS Education this spring and summer. Tuition will be covered by a Going Pro Talent Fund Grant and additional costs for books, uniforms, boots, etc. will be covered by Great Lakes Bay Michigan Works!
These accelerated courses will require students to attend class and clinical training 36 hours each week for seven weeks. Understanding that a schedule like that does not allow much time for paid work, students will become MMR employees upon acceptance into the program and get paid an hourly wage while attending class.
May 3 – June 15, 2021
August 9 – September 21, 2021
Students will be expected to attend three 8-hour days and one 12-hour clinical each week for the duration of the program. Upon successful completion of the program, students will have two weeks to take their first attempt at passing the National Registry Exam.
MMR and MI Works! Will be hosting a series of informational sessions for those interested in learning more to go over program contents, requirements for admission and expectations for trainees.
This is an incredible opportunity to have a long term career– with no student debt! As an MMR employee, you may utilize tuition assistance to enroll in the next paramedic program offered through Great Lakes Bay Consortium for EMS Education and enjoy additional pay incentives to boot!
