Shocks and Saves
Shocks and Saves® is collaboration between MMR and the Pulse3 Foundation. Together, we raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest and the steps we all can take to increase survival rates in our communities. What started out as a charity hockey game between physicians and EMS professionals has grown into AED grant funding, community CPR training and emergency response plan development. To date, the Shocks and Saves® initiative has raised almost $300,000, placed over 150 AEDs and trained over 2,000 people in CPR!
The 10th Annual Shocks and Saves hockey event will take place at The Dow Event Center on Saturday, February 4, 2017. Former Detroit Red Wing defenseman Jiri Fischer, along with John Ogrodnick, Petr Klima, Jon Blum and Wayne Presley have committed to play again in what we hope will be another sold out event!. We continue to communicate with other Red Wing alumni, such as Mickey Redman and Larry Murphy, for participation in this fun-filled game.
