April 14 – 20, 2024 is National Public Telecommunications Week!
Every year, MMR celebrates its 31 hard-working, dedicated, and passionate MedCom team members who serve our communities 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Like most first responder professions, they, too, have their week for special recognition!
Our MedCom Center is on its 5th International Academies of Emergency Dispatch re-accreditation this year. Like our CAAS ambulance accreditation, a tremendous amount of time goes into ensuring our MedCom Center demonstrates high-quality EMD processes and quality control for the 17 counties we serve.
In addition to their re-accreditation, the Commission recognized our MedCom Center as one of the most improved centers internationally. That’s a tremendous accomplishment!
